The work of Bible Society is involved in making a world of difference as we bring the truth of God’s Word to bear on people’s lives. It is one thing to proclaim the Word but it is entirely another to have the truth of that Word acted out in the lives of people who have heard and responded.

‘Hands for Hope’ is a project that is having a profound impact among theyoung people of Rwanda. The Rwandan government is so encouraged by the results that 3 separate departments have requested more help, to cover the entire country and impact all the young people of the nation. The project is a demonstration of how meeting the need for reconciliation can bring about life and hope in the midst of travesty. When people understand and experience reconciliation with God through Jesus, they are able to extend forgiveness and reconciliation to people who have committed the most abominable acts.

Wontulp-Bi-Buya College in Cairns is another example of how the Word of God transforms lives and brings about change in the community. After they’ve been taught from the Word and responded to it, the Spirit of God continues to daily transform lives there.
