In April I had some much needed rest and recreation, during which I saw a great deal of our country. I was also able to witness the devastation caused by Cyclone Larry. A mental picture of the Christian experience came to mind, turning from a former life to a new life in Christ and growing to a fulfilling and enriching life, far different from the former.
This cycle of life has been evident and here at Bible Society we have been experiencing something similar. We are now busy working through the growth into a new life stage and adjusting to much change.
You will notice that this edition of Bibles@work is smaller, as we continue to manage our costs and at the same time keep you informed about Bible work around the world. With these changes also comes an opportunity for volunteers to be involved with us and to support us in different ways. In May we welcomed Mark Lees as our Fundraising Executive and you will learn more of him and his work in the coming days.
Bibles@work can only bring you a small report on each topic we cover. More detail is available on our website and still more can be sent to you on request.
Thank you once again for standing with us in this great work of God. Your prayers and generous financial support continue to encourage and sustain the work, without which Bible Society would cease to be.
