Bike for Bibles 1984
December 9, 1984, 8:00am, and the first team of riders is set to take off for Melbourne, 900kms away. They aim to raise $3,000 for the Bible Society's "NEW LITERACY PROGRAM", supplying primary school children in Kalimantan, Indonesia, with scripture portions.

Bob, Wayne and David will ride right through to Melbourne, while John Holland and John Ansell will ride their tandem as far as Mittagong, "to give some encouragement to the others".
